2/21-2/27

This week we got some solid days of training in despite a few people having injuries.

Early this week we had some great rolls at Kagoshima Budokan. Arikawa came to train on Monday and we had some good rolls. It was fun to watch Arikawa vs. Nakayama. Nakayama is new to Jiu-Jitsu but shows tons of promise he comes from a Judo background and is a natural at BJJ!!

Saturday we were fortunate to be able to train at Axel MMA and had a great session three black belts and some great rolls!!

The "God" Kami Sensei and Jin were a few of the great rolls at Saturdays practice!

2/14-2/20

Back to training this week. Training was light this week and still trying to take care of my hand.
Seems like there are a few people with injuries right now so maybe its a good thing for everyone to slow down their pace a little.

Next week we will have classes all Monday-Friday at 13:00 at the Kagoshima Ken Budokan.

Dumau Tokyo 2/14/2016

Just got back from the competition in Tokyo. Overall the competition was good and I had fun spending time around the city.

The competition was at the Taito River Side Sports Center in Asakusa.

There were a lot of competitors and it was run nicely.

I fought Hirokazu Takamoto from Pagona Club and won 6-4. In the final I fought Yoski Suto from Impacto and unfortunately lost to him on points.

I had been dealing with an injury in my hand the last few weeks and ended up not competing in the open class but was overall satisfied with my results. Time to take a little time to recover and back to training hard soon!!
