Just received my first order of gi patches. If you are interested in purchasing them I will have them with me at practice this week. They are 1000 yen each.

やっと道着パッチをもらいました！今週、練習へ持って行くのでもし買いたいぜひ教えてください！一枚が１０００円です。

Kyushu Open

Kyushu Open just finished yesterday. Won my first fight in Open Weight by bow and arrow choke and my second by estima lock. I only had one student compete but he took home gold as well in both weight and absolute. Still trying to get stronger everyday. I know Kagoshima will get stronger and stronger as well someday we will reach the world stage!!

九州オープンが終わりました。無差別級で一回戦ボウアンドアーロで勝った、二回戦でエスティマロークで勝った。最近練習がちょっと減ってしまったのに、試合結果は良かったです！一人しかないんですが生徒も金メダルとった！！これからも強くなりたいです！！鹿児島たちはまだまだ行けると思う、世界レベルも行ける！！

Japanese Nationals

Just got back from the Japanese Nationals in Tokyo! Ended up taking 3rd place losing by referee's decision. Disappointing results but always trying to learn from any experience! Next up the Kyushu Open!!

今日、東京から帰りました。準決勝で審判のディシションで負けました。本当に残念ですがどんな経験があったでも勉強なります。次は九州オーペンです！！

4/2-4/8

Cheers for good work this week! Was nice to start introducing technique and drilling into training. Next week I'm going to Tokyo for the Japanese National so there is no practice on Friday.

今週、お疲れ様でした！練習で技とドリルを始めては良かったです。ジャパニーズナションアルのために来週の金曜日東京へ行きますので練習がありません。

3/19-3/25

Great training this week! Just over a month until the Kyushu Open so now is the time to be picking up the pace and thinking about your diet if you need to. Tomorrow is the Kagoshima Practice Tournament it's a great opportunity to try some matches with points and refereeing.

皆さん、今週も良かったです！九州オーペンは一ヶ月ちょっと後あるので今から自分の練習ペースアップした方がいいと思います。さらに減量が必要な人、今からそれも考えた方がいいと思います！明日、県武道館でチーム鹿児島月キャンプがあります。ちゃんと試合見たいのですごくいい練習と思います！

3/12-3/18

Great training this week!! The first deadline for the Kyushu Open is on Thursday so make sure to register before then!! Tomorrow I will be going with a few guys from Kagoshima to Fukuoka for the Ground Impact event! Should be a lot of fun!

Good training this week! A few announcements, still pushing everyone to register early for the Kyushu Open the first registration deadline is March 24th. Register early and save some money and help draw more competitors!! Second at the beginning of April I will be starting a new job and that will mean an end to the afternoon training sessions but we will be changing to few nights a week evening classes.  The new schedule will be announced soon.

今週の練習も良かったです！！二つ発表があります。まだみんなさん、九州オーペンのために早く申し込んでください！！初めての締め切りは3月24日。お金を節約すると人数を集まるために早く申し込んだ方いいです！！次に、4月から仕事が始まりますので4月1日から昼練習がなくなります。しかし、平日の夜クラスが始まっていきます！もうすぐスケジュールを発表します！

As always great training! I want to continue to encourage everyone to sign up for the Kyushu Open as early as possible. It is the most important thing to ensure the success of the competition is to have people signed up early.

いつものように練習は良かったです。九州オーペンに関して、まだ皆さんに励ましたいことは早く申し込んでください。成功するために鹿児島たちが先エントリするべきです！

2/19-2/25

Great training this week! Everyone has been getting much better! And classes have been getting tougher and tougher! I'm very happy to see such an improvement! About 2 months until the Kyushu Open everyone should have that goal in mind!

今週も良かったです！皆さんがだんだん上手くなりました！それのおかげで練習もだんだんきつくなりました！２ヶ月後に九州オーペンがあるので、みんなさん、その目標に向かってください！

2/12-2/18

Solid training this week! Keeping a good rhythm lately and everyone else is helping push each other! Big news of the week is that the registration for the 9th Kyushu Open started! This is the first event to be held in Kagoshima so its up to us to make it a success from the start! I want everyone who is able to be training with this competition in mind! Early registration is only ¥4000 for JBJJF members and ¥5000 for non-members! Register early and don't miss out!!
